Sarasota Middle School, located diagonally across from Ashton Elementary in the Bee Ridge community of Sarasota, FL, is an A+ School known for their strong academic and extracurricular programs. Sarasota Middle offers the Panther Gifted Academy for high-achieving students with students who "go on to be members of prestigious high school programs such as IB and AICE, National Merit Scholarship finalists, STEM Fair winners, and National History Day champions". Other high-achieving students may be interested in the Panther Scholastic Academy which offers opportunity to earn Honors High School credits in many different subjects and High School level industry certifications in Career and Technical education. SMS has intramural and interscholastic options for many sports such as Tennis, Golf, Basketball, Weight Training, Track & Field, and Volleyball.
