Phil Hall is a celebrated figure in the Sarasota School of Architecture. He owned a contemporary interior design studio and furniture showroom, and often when Sarasota School of Architecture homes were completed and no money was left for furnishings, Hall would lend truckloads of great mid-century (then just considered contemporary) furnishings so that great photography could be taken for sales and magazine promotions. After the photos were taken the furniture would be trucked back to Hall's showroom for use in another home. It was a great win-win for everyone in Sarasota Modernism and exemplified the collaborative effort everyone of this era and area in architecture had with each other.
