Community Amenities & Features

Palmer Ranch is bisected north to south by the Sarasota-to-Venice Legacy Rail-Trail. The trail begins near the townhome community of Arielle and ends near Venice where it becomes the Venetian Waterway Trail. 

Residents of Palmer Ranch have access to commercial options and services at two locations. The first is located along U.S. Route 41, near the intersection with the Central Sarasota Parkway. The Sarasota Square shopping facility has a Target, Costco, and Sprouts Farmers Market. 

The second location is to the north, along Clark Road. This stretch contains many stores, restaurants, entertainment venues, and services.

There is a large golf course community in Palmer Ranch, situated around the Prestancia Golf and Social Club.

Taking Route 72, residents of Palmer Ranch can visit the Myakka River State Park, which is about 12 miles to the east.
