Casey Key Location Information

Casey Key is a 7-mile long barrier island in the Gulf of Mexico just off the southwest coast of Florida. The southernmost point of Casey Key begins just northwest of the town of Venice, Florida, while the northernmost end connects to Siesta Key via Midnight Pass, which can only be traversed by foot.

The inner waters between Casey Key and the mainland are known as Blackburn Bay.

Casey Key can be accessed from the mainland at two points: a northern bridge and a southern bridge. The northern bridge is located at the town of Osprey, while the southern entrance is at Laurel, just north of Venice. The northern entrance can be reached from downtown Sarasota in approximately 20 to 30 minutes.

Casey Key is known for its elegant Floridian architecture, quiet atmosphere, and long uncrowded beaches. Private docks and direct beach access are two defining features of the luxury Casey Key real estate market. As such, Casey Key properties are some of the most prestigious and sought-after in southwest Florida.
